Laura Kunz
In May 2024, Laura Kunz joined the research group "[Sm-AI-R] - Smart Regulation of and by Low or No Code Development Platforms for AI in organisations" as a project assistant. During the course of the project work and her associated dissertation project, she deals with the effects of Automated Machine Learning on working methods in different domains. On the one hand, her focus is on the possible reorganisation of the division of labour through the introduction of machine learning, and on the other hand on the resulting valences of different activities. Key to her work is the question of different knowledge practices and the epistemic conceptualisation of problems and solutions as they arise through the use of automated machine learning. A focus will be placed on both the private and the public labour sector.
Previously, she completed her Master's degree in Science and Technology Studies at the University of Vienna, during which she specialised in digitalisation in the medical field and health policy, which remain key areas of her research interest. In addition, she has already gained research experience during her time as an assistant in the project "Smart4Health: Citizen-centred EU-EHR exchange for personalised health" and an internship at the STS research unit at the University of Padova.
